Every day in The Gambia, a young boy or girl walks into our studio with a dream, sometimes shy, sometimes unsure but always hopeful. They step onto the floor, hear the first beat of the drum and for a moment, the world opens. Suddenly, they are not limited by circumstance, background or fear.
They are seen. They are valued. They are powerful. But for many of them, that moment is fragile.
